Construction of the Tuen Mun South Extension (TME) project is progressing steadily. While pushing ahead at full speed, the project team also spared time to participate in community activity. To welcome the Year of the Horse, we joined hands with “Engineering T Chai,” the well‑loved ambassador of the new railway projects, to visit the community near our project location, celebrating the Chinese New Year with residents and sharing festive warmth and blessings.
To mark the arrival of the Year of the Horse, the TME project team continued its collaboration with the non-profit charity Ching Chung Koon to host an annual Chinese New Year event in the Tuen Mun South community. Amid the rhythmic beat of drums and cheers, Engineering T Chai took to the stage together with the lion dance team and mini railway troupe formed by students from the Taoist Ching Chung Primary School (Wu King Estate) and Ching Chung Wu King Kindergarten. Their energetic performances delighted the audience and received enthusiastic applause from residents.
Several calligraphers were also invited to write festive Fai Chun for residents on site, delivering heartfelt blessings. The atmosphere reached another peak when the project team presented over 1,000 Tuen Mun residents with New Year lucky bags and Fai Chun. Representatives from various sectors, including members of the District Council and Community Liaison Groups, also joined the celebration, creating a lively and joyful scene.
The TME project game booths and mini engineering photo zone were also popular, with many residents expressing their anticipation for the project’s future completion.
The project team will continue to uphold close collaboration with the community. As construction advances, we will further strengthen engagement with local residents, working hand in hand to create a more convenient and vibrant future.
