  • Advance works and foundation works for A16 Station are in progress

Tuen Mun River Channel

  • Temporary working platforms are being built on the river to prepare for future foundation and structural works for the viaduct and A16 Station.
  • Appropriate mitigation measures are in place, with regular monitoring of water quality, dust, and noise level to minimise impacts to the community and river.

Wu Shan Recreation Playground works site

  • Construction of viaduct foundation is in progress

Tuen Mun South Section

Key Works Sites

Wu King Road

  • Temporary traffic management scheme is being implemented, and diversion of underground utilities is underway.
  • Demolition of the decks of Siu Hei Bridge and Wu Yuet Bridge was successfully completed in August and September 2024 respectively to make space for the construction of Tuen Mun South Station.

Wu King Road Garden works site

  • Site formation was completed, while the demolition of the ramp and stairs on the eastern side of Wu Yuet Bridge will soon commence.
  • The temporary covered walkway adjacent to the works site was opened in October 2024 for pedestrians’ access between Siu Hei Light Rail Stop and Wu King Road.

Progress of Community Facility Re-provisioning Works

Re-provisioning of Tuen Mun Swimming Pool

  • At the works site in the Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre, foundation works for the new swimming pool have been completed, and main structural works are underway.
  • Re-provisioning works are expected to be completed in 2026.

Re-provisioning of GREEN@TUEN MUN

  • At the site at Lung Chak Road underneath the Lung Fu Road flyover, foundation works are substantially completed, and structural works are underway.
  • Re-provisioning works are expected to be substantially completed in late 2024.
  • After completion of re-provisioning works, the existing GREEN@TUEN MUN will be closed as a temporary works site.

Re-provisioning of Tuen Mun River (Eastern Bank) Garden and Pet Garden

  • The Phase 1 re-provisioning of the Garden has been completed, and it was opened to members of the public by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department on 9 October 2024.

Tuen Mun Ferry Pier Public Toilet

  • After reviewing the works arrangements, the existing public toilet is expected to be demolished in 2025, and will be re-provisioned at its original location after completion of relevant railway works.
  • Before demolition, a temporary public toilet will be provided at Tuen Mun Promenade near Tuen Mun Ferry Pier.
